Board of Directors
BancInsure’s outstanding board constitutes extensive business knowledge and experience. Of the company’s twelve board members, seven have been affiliated with BancInsure in excess of seven years. The balance are currently or have been bankers or involved with banking throughout their careers.
The board holds great excitement and optimism for BancInsure’s future.
Ballard W. Cassady, Jr.
Mr. Cassady has a background as both a chief bank regulator, and in the coal mining industry,
before he joined the Kentucky Bankers Association as its Executive Vice President.
He has held this position since 1986 and has been a member of the BancInsure Board since 1987.
Robb Evans
Mr. Evans has been a banker, a bank regulator and currently operates his own company, which acts as court appointed fiduciary,
trustee, receiver, asset manager and consultant to bank regulators and courts worldwide.
Rodman A. Frates
Mr. Frates is the Chief Operating Officer and Chairman of the Board of C. L. Frates and Company.
He is on the Board of Applied Signal Technology Corporation, of Spectral Imaging Corporation, and is a Director of Granite Re, Inc.
Stephen I. Frates
Mr. Frates serves as CEO of Mesker Door, Inc. and is an investor in other private manufacturing firms.
William O. Johnstone
Mr. Johnstone has an extensive career in banking.
He is currently the Manager and CEO of the Council Oak Partners LLC of Oklahoma City, an investment company
associated with one of the major banking interests in Oklahoma .
Cindy McInerney — Executive Vice President
McInerney has been with BancInsure since it's founding in 1985, serving as Secretary, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer since 2003.
Leslie O. Nesvig
He has been a director of BancInsure since the company was formed in 1985 and currently serves as the chairman of the company's claims committee. He has varied financial interests throughout the Dakotas.
Galen T. Pate, Chairman
Mr. Pate has a distinguished career in banking. He has served as President and CEO of Signal Financial Corporation, now Associated Bank of Mendota Heights , MN , for thirty-nine years. He has served on the boards of many eleemosynary foundations in Minnesota and has been the Chairman of the Board of BancInsure since the inception of the Company in 1985.
Jonathan H. Pate
Mr. Pate is owner and president of Pate Bonding Incorporated of West St. Paul , MN . He is a director of Granite Re, Inc. and a banking industry investor. He joined the Board of BancInsure in 2003
Rodney N. Sargent-President/Chief Executive Officer of BMSI Holdings
Mr. Sargent's background includes executive management with several national insurers, including executive roles with Seattle-based Safeco as Corporate Marketing Officer and Corporate E-Commerce Officer. He was also the Vice President of Marketing for the Property & Casualty Companies of United Services Automobile Association (USAA).
Prior to joining BancInsure, Mr. Sargent was Corporate Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Argonaut Group.
Frederick M. (Rick) Smith
Mr. Smith was a Texas banker before he became President of the Texas Bankers Association in 1999. He has a long and distinguished career in banking.
James W. Wallis
Mr. Wallis is an independent oil and gas operator in Oklahoma City . From 1979, he has served as President and Chairman of EXOK, Inc.
He has been an investor in the banking business and his varied and interesting career includes productions for television.
Mr. Wallis also serves as the Chairman of the company's investment committee.
